Balancing his rapidly decaying eyesight against the relentless hunt of Vektor's search-and-destroy droids, Kaelen must synchronize his physical movements with these dead guides to survive. Escaping by utilizing the ghost-trails to blindside Vektor's sensors, Kaelen delivers the cure to Shae. Though completely physically blind, his scarred corneas retain a permanent gift: a soft, glowing lavender vision of Shae's restored life and the spectral guides who will forever walk beside him in the deep dark.
